SCHOOLS

  • West Junior High School opens in February, with J. Chauncey Smith taking the helm as its first principal
  • There are now 13 elementary and secondary schools operating in Walpole, including 11 public schools run by the town, plus Norfolk County Agricultural High School and Blessed Sacrament School
  • New teachers include Suzanne Hopkins, Paul Sowden, Lou Droste, and Sue Brainard

I remember Paul Sowden, my 5th grade teacher, at Fisher school. He would bring the class to the Cape at the end of the year for a weekend retreat.
