  • With new wave of young student population emerging, town voters approve $2M override for renovation and addition to Boyden School which had closed in 1983.  The planned re-opening is for the 1990-91 school year
  • School system reverts back to 4-4-4 (elementary, middle, high school) configuration
  • Long-time Walpole High School journalism teacher Richard Schnorbus retires
